Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies (SCS) held its 2017 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 19 at 3:30 p.m. in McDonough Gymnasium. Commencement speaker Nate Silver, editor in chief of FiveThirtyEight, received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters. 

The School conferred 799 degrees this academic year, including 728 professional master's degrees, 37 master's degrees in liberal studies, six doctorates in liberal studies, and 28 bachelor's degrees.
