Georgetown Summer Sessions

1. Non-Georgetown University students must apply for Summer Session courses by completing the Summer Sessions/School Application and submitting transcript(s). Your application will not be processed until SCS has received your transcripts.
2. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable to be reviewed for admission to Summer Sessions. This applies only to schools from the United States. Students may e-mail unofficial transcripts to However, if admitted, official copies will be required to be sent to the Office of Admissions. If admitted conditionally with unofficial transcripts, all terms of the conditions will be listed in your admissions decision letter. Please review this carefully. 
3. Once you have been accepted into the Summer Sessions, please fill out the enrollment form in your decision letter. You will then be notified and given instructions to register for courses.

*Georgetown University's Summer Sessions is able to offer online courses to residents of most states, but is still awaiting full approval from a few select states. Please consult the Important Policies for Online Students page to determine if you are a resident of a state in which Georgetown University's Summer Sessions can offer online coursework.

Online Application
To apply online, please go to the SCS Online Application Manager, create an account, and choose the Georgetown Summer Sessions application. The Online Application Manager allows prospective students to submit their entire application packet online, with the exception of transcripts, which must be submitted in hard copy to the SCS Admissions Office at the address below.

Georgetown Summer Sessions

There are priority deadlines for Georgetown Summer Sessions at the School of Continuing Studies. Applications are accepted  and decisions are made on a rolling basis throughout the year. Applicants are encouraged to apply early and give themselves plenty of time for an admission review prior to the start of their intended term of enrollment. Please note it can take 2-3 weeks to process submitted paperwork and documents. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, the last day applications are reviewed is the Friday before the start of each summer session.
