Islam and Politics

Course Description:

Students are engaged in the study of the contemporary resurgence of Islam in Muslim politics: its causes, manifestation, and issues. The role of Islam in sociopolitical change and international relations will be analyzed through a series of case studies. Among the countries studied will be Iran, Egypt, Libya, Algeria, Tunisia, and Pakistan.
