Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies

Issues In Globalization

Course Description:

The objective of this Course is to study some of the most important issues which have arisen over the last decade, due to freer world trade, spread of multinational corporations and internationalization of financial capital. There will be a presentation of a set of topics in class in a lecture format. The lectures will be very comprehensive, and thus class notes will be more useful than outside readings. There will be a take-home Mid-Term Exam and a Final on those topics. In addition, the students will have to make a oral presentation in class on one of the topics supported by a two-three page paper.
