Pronunciation Workshop
Course Description: This workshop is designed for advanced and high intermediate non-native speakers of English who wish to improve their pronunciation and oral communication skills in both academic and professional settings. Through group and individual activities, students will learn to identify and correct their specific pronunciation problems, including stress and intonation. In addition, basic oral communication strategies and presentation skills will be introduced and practiced throughout the course.
Since the class will be limited in enrollment and restricted to students who already have considerable facility in English, a placement test will be given at the first class meeting. Admission to the workshop is based on successful completion of the test. Students who do not complete the test at the first meeting cannot be guaranteed placement in the course.
Early registration is encouraged as enrollment is limited.
If you have any questions regarding the EFL course, please contact the Program Coordinator, Thomas Kozumplik. He can be reached by phone or e-mail (703.462.0281 or kozania@hotmail.com).
