Course Description:
Starting a consultancy can be an exciting but also somewhat daunting step! It is an opportunity to do things your own way, to test your skills in the marketplace, and to use your experience and expertise in new situations. Starting a business also brings challenges, both expected and unexpected. 

In this course, students will consider the process of building a consultancy including business logistics, personal and professional work identity, and the branding and marketing of yourself and your “product.”  The course is divided into three highly focused workshops, each featuring guest speakers sharing their own experience building and maintaining successful consulting practices.  Students will develop a clear understanding of issues to consider as they launch or develop their consulting businesses.
