Course Description:
The course is meant for all those who would like to work as interpreters but, in spite of a good knowledge of both the source and target language, do not master the technique that allows for a smooth performance. Yet, all this can be learned. It is not difficult, but it has to be taught, by demystifying the process and making it easily accessible. Through the use of a series of exercises, gradually increasing in difficulty, students will increase in confidence and competence. Both simultaneous and consecutive interpretation will be taught in a friendly, non threatening atmosphere. The class will be small in order to ensure individual attention to all participants.
