Course Description:
Diversity Councils exist in most organizations. However, very few organizations have developed the councils in a way that is deliberate, strategic and thus effective. This course is designed to help organizations to develop new diversity council and or enhance the effectiveness of existing diversity councils. The course will help participants:
- Assess effectiveness level of the overall council structure and approach
- Set quantitative and qualitative measures of success and track progress
- Benchmark results against other councils
- Develop a “most critical success factors” for a diversity council matrix for their own councils
- Identify best practices by analyzing the work of other councils globally
- Use strategic planning tools to develop and monitor prioritized improvement areas for individual members as well as the overall council
- Demonstrate diversity council effectiveness to organizational leadership
- Use results to gain additional resources for council efficacy
