Conflict Management

Course Description:

While the primary focus in this course will be on conflict in organizations, the course draws on a wide number of disciplines to analyze theories about the cause of conflict and methods of managing it.  Resting on the belief that better understanding of conflict produces a sense of greater options for the individual, the course will consider the polar positions of a) subjective passivity or alienation, and b) violence, revolution, and their organizational analogies with emphasis on the options between the polar positions.
