Master of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications

Public Relations & Corporate Communications Capstone

Course Description:

This course requires students to apply the full range of their strategic communications skills to a real time communications challenge. Working as a team, students respond to the same request for proposal (RFP) from a corporation, nonprofit, association or NGO. While the primary focus is on team work, the response also includes an individual component. A new organization is selected each semester based on the quality and complexity of their communications challenge as well as their commitment to the competition. Leadership from the organization participates on the final judging panel which includes your professor, the associate dean, industry experts and other Georgetown faculty. Outstanding responses are recognized and promoted to the industry.
