Monica P. Hawkins is Founder, CEO and Connector of Professional Pipeline Development Group (PPDG), is a consulting firm focused on Strategic Planning for Diversity with a focus on workforce initiatives and multicultural/emerging markets.

Monica Hawkins was formerly the Vice President of Diversity Best Practices (DBP) where she managed strategic planning and development for DBP, and worked to align efforts with all divisions of the company including, Best Practices in Corporate Communications, Business Women's Network, and iVillage. Ms. Hawkins served members with strategic business solutions that were focused on a cross-section of Industries such as Securities; Publishing; PR/Advertising; Sports & Entertainment; Hotels, Resorts and Casinos; and Retail/Apparel.

Prior to her position with DBP, Ms. Hawkins had an extensive corporate career with Verizon (Bell Atlantic), where she was Director of Marketing Communications the Large Business Data Solutions Line of Business. Ms. Hawkins was also Director of Strategic Alliances, where she managed relationships with organizations such as AARP, National Urban League and many other non-profit organizations. Her work was often tied to the Office of Diversity and Corporate Compliance to insure an integrated approach to maximize the overall corporate effort towards Diversity & Inclusion.

Ms. Hawkins had an extensive broadcast career during which she produced international broadcasts and events for CBS, NBC, ABC, Turner Broadcasting, ESPN and the U.S. Information Agency's WORLDNET - a global satellite network, which linked all of the American Embassies.
