Cheryl Haas is a vice president in the digital department of Fleishman-Hillard’s Washington, DC office. In this role, Ms. Haas leads the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search strategies for a variety of clients, including those from health care, federal government, consumer products, consulting services and non-profit industries to name a few. Ms. Haas is a search industry veteran with over 8 years experience in the search field. She has worked on major search engines and start-ups alike.

Previously, Ms. Haas was at AOL Search, where she worked on many aspects of Search including product management, market research and overseeing the editorial aspects of AOL Search. Most recently, she helped successfully launch RevolutionHealth.com where she focused on SEO and building an internal search engine to help consumers easily find trusted health information online. Ms. Haas began her career in the communications field for non-profits. She holds a BA in public relations from Radford University, an MA in mental health counseling from George Washington University and an MBA in marketing from the University of Maryland. Combining her public relations, mental health, and search experience, she views the way people look for information online as the “psychology of search.” This behavioral approach uncovers insights into how people look for brands, products and services, enabling clients to improve their online visibility and ultimately increase traffic driven from major search engines.
