Roger Staiger's areas of expertise include Global Portfolio Management, Real Estate Capital Markets, Derivatives and Risk Management and Financial Modeling.  In addition, Roger is Managing Director at Stage Capital, LLC which is a real estate and management consulting firm.  Stage Capital providing consulting and risk management services for various clients nationally on real estate issues including financial structuring and restructuring (corporate and project), loan modifications and strategies, asset repositioning and portfolio management. 

 

Formerly Roger was a Fund Manager for a Development/Construction Fund in New York.  He was a Portfolio Manager for the Ultra LongView Construction Loan Fund, a $1.25B portfolio which invests in all commercial asset classes on a National footprint. 

 

Further, Roger's professional experience includes multiple years as Chief Financial Officer for a Mid-Atlantic regional developer and builder.  Prior to his CFO position, he was Managing Director with Constellation Energy, for both the gas and electric retail commodity divisions ($240.0MM annual revenue).  Prior to Constellation, he was the Finance Executive for Clark Construction, a privately held national commercial builder, and Senior Quantitative Analyst for Columbia Energy.

 

In addition to his position at Georgetown University Roger lectures at Johns Hopkins University, The Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI) and Loyola University.  At DREI he lectures Global Portfolio Management.  At Loyola University he lectures Derivatives, Financial Modeling, and International Finance.  Further, Roger provides a two-day seminar on Asset Repositioning for the Urban Land Institute.  Roger has spoken globally on U.S. Real Estate investment and management topics with his last presentation in Doha, Qatar to the Arabian Academic and Finance Ministry.

 

Roger Staiger currently serves on the Real Estate Finance Committees for several local Washington Metropolitan Builders Industries.  Mr. Staiger is a member of the Edward St. John Advisory Board at Johns Hopkins and member, the Sellinger Applied Portfolio Advisory Board at Loyola University, and the advisory board at University of Baltimore. 

 

Roger is a recognized real estate expert having published articles in Developer Magazine (Shariah Finance) and National Association of Realtors (Real Estate's new paradigm).  Further, he regularly appears in multiple medias including television, radio, and newspapers.

 

Roger Staiger was born in 1970 in Oakland, CA and earned his BS Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University.   Mr. Staiger earned his MBA and MS Finance degrees from George Washington University and his MA International Transactions from George Mason University.
