Scott Horner currently serves as the Director of Communications for the Athlete & Property Marketing group at Octagon, one of the world's foremost athlete representation and sports marketing agencies headquartered in McLean, VA. Based in the firm's Athletes & Personalities Division, Horner is tasked with leading the internal and external communications initiatives for Octagon, along with spearheading many of the proactive public relations platforms for the agency's expansive roster of clients.

In his fourth year with Octagon, Horner works closely with many of the agency's executives and elite athletes to formulate and execute the communications objectives or cause-related campaigns through proactive and strategic media placement and messaging. In 2008, Octagon was named the inaugural winner of the Sports Agency of the Year by the Sports Business Journal.

Prior to joining Octagon, Horner served a two-season stint with the Philadelphia Eagles as a Graduate Assistant in the club's Football Media Services Department. In this role, Horner was an integral member of the department that served as the liaison between the players and coaches and the national, regional and local media outlets who covered the team on a daily basis. Horner also was a member of the club's advance team for Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville, FL. Also during his tenure with the team, the Eagles PR staff was awarded The 2005 Pete Rozelle Award, an honor given by the Pro Football Writers Association of America to the NFL's top PR staff.

A native of York, PA and a 2002 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations, Horner also had a previous eight-month internship with the Major League Baseball Players Association and volunteered in Penn State's Sports Marketing and Promotions Department.
