Curriculum
The Master of Professional Studies in Technology Management program is a 30-credit program. Students begin their first year with a core course and possible foundation courses, then advance into elective courses which are designed to more acutely define their expertise. The core course will generally involve ethical issues related to the student’s professional field.
The three-credit capstone course will be the culmination of the student’s academic and professional experience in the MPS program. Over the course of the final semester, students will be asked to apply the knowledge gained during the program to their work environment. They will need to incorporate the skills necessary for analyzing key issues, thinking creatively and using sound judgment to make decisions in order to develop and execute plans. The project selected will need to be work-related and related to challenges they are addressing in the industry.
The program typically takes students two years of part-time study to complete, although many students will complete the program in a faster or more gradual fashion.
