Student Life

The Semester in Washington program features a combination of challenging academics and hands-on practice, comprised of classroom learning and internships in the D.C. metro area.

SWP class meetings and events are held at Georgetown’s downtown campus, centrally located in one of the city’s most exciting and accessible neighborhoods. The campus is within blocks of every Metrorail line and just one mile from historic Capitol Hill.

Studying in the nation’s capital puts students right in the center of politics, law, media, museums, and culture, giving them access to unique experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. Washington, D.C., is one of the U.S.’s most diverse and international cities, with residents from all walks of life and all parts of the globe.
