Do I need to be a systems engineer?

No. But some quantitative background is highly recommended. The emphasis of the program is to develop well-rounded professionals who can create strategic advantage using highly complex systems – including technical and non-technical variables – for businesses and organizations.

Could you tell me about the faculty?

How many students are in each class?

All classes are capped at 25 to give you the ability to interact with the faculty.

Do you offer any online classes?

At this time, we do not offer any classes that are exclusively online. Some of our classes will be offered in a hybrid format that combines traditional classroom time with online learning environments.

What is the timeline for graduation?

All coursework can be completed in a part-time schedule with evening and weekend course times. Students typically take two courses per semester, so the program can be completed in two years.

How is this program different from other systems engineering management programs?

This MPS program is unique because Georgetown has partnered with Stevens Institute of Technology in order to provide you with a more holistic model of systems engineering management. This program draws on the strengths of Georgetown’s expertise in leadership, management, social sciences, public policy and healthcare.
