CCPE Book Signing Event: The Necessity of Strangers

On February 19, the Georgetown University Center for Continuing & Professional Education will host a book signing event for Dr. Alan Gregerman, author of the book The Necessity of Strangers: The Intriguing Truth About Insight, Innovation, and Success (Jossey-Bass 2013) and an adjunct faculty at the Georgetown University Center for Continuing & Professional Education. The book-signing will be followed by a brief presentation on Georgetown professional certificate program and a reception.

Dr. Gregerman's new book explores how strangers - described as those who think different and challenge our opinions - help us to innovate and achieve genuine collaboration. He presents principles for developing a “stranger-centric” mindset, including practical guidance to leverage new partnerships in business and leadership.

The event will kick-off with a brief discussion of the book by Dr. Gregerman followed by a brief presentation on Georgetown University professional certificate programs and a reception. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event. The event will take place at the new venue for the Center for Continuing & Professional Education.
