Instructions
Complete, sign, and return the appropriate form to withdraw from a course and receive a refund at the Center for Continuing and Professional Education.

1. Select and download the appropriate form. My courses were paid by: 
   • My own credit card
     

   • A third party credit card (employer, My CAA, family member) 
     

   • A third party check (DC DOES), ACH/wire, or private loan (non-credit card transaction)
     

   • VA Benefits or Georgetown University TAPS

2. Complete form and calculate your refund amount using the table below

3. Submit the form by one method only:
   
   • By fax to 703-812-3810

   • In person at / by mail to:

     Note: To protect your credit card information CCPE cannot accept completed forms via email.
    
4. An email will be sent to you when your form has been received by the Center for Continuing and Professional Education.
    
   • Refund amounts will be calculated based on the time that forms are received by the Center for Continuing and Professional Education.
    
   • All requested refund amounts will be verified by the Student Accounts Manager.
    
   • You will be contacted by email if any discrepancies are found.
    
5. Allow up to 45 days to receive your refund.

REFUND TABLE

Percent of Course Completed	Refund Percentage
Withdraws before the course begins - during grace period	100% of tuition, less $100 nonrefundable deposit
Withdraws before the course begins - after grace period	100% of tuition, less $100 nonrefundable deposit AND a tuition fee of $100 or 15% of course tuition, whichever is less
Withdraws after the first day of class begins but withdraws or is terminated during the first quartile (25%) of the course	75% of tuition
Withdraws or is terminated during the second quartile (more than 25% but less than 50%) of the course	50% of tuition
Withdraws or is terminated during the third quartile (more than 50% but less than 75%) of the course	25% of tuition
Withdraws after completing more than three quartiles (75%) of the course	0% of tuition
