Karen Gravenstine, MA, CIC, MCC, is an internal Organization Effectiveness Consultant at AARP in Washington, DC. She specializes in supporting leaders and teams in creating work environments in which committed, competent individuals join together with their unique contributions to achieve a shared vision and mission. This is accomplished through customized leadership and management coaching; organization development interventions and training programs. As a life long learner, Karen is an adult piano student, and has traveled with her husband to over 25 countries.
Karen believes that coaching as a relationship of conversations which result in ever increasing effectiveness and fulfillment. As a person becomes more self-aware, a myriad of options open up and more effective actions become possible. Through rigorous practice and feedback the client integrates the new behavior into a revised, more effective way of being.
Karen is a Master Certified Coach (International Coach Federation), and holds a Masters degree from Catholic University.
