Bartholomew Timm

Bartholomew J. Timm came to Georgetown to start The International Cardiovascular-Kidney Institute at Georgetown University, and joined the faculty at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University in 2003, where he teaches Organizational Behavior, Change Management and Leadership in the MBA program, the undergraduate Business School, and in the Center for Continuing and Professional Education.

Bart has considerable breadth and depth of experience in the business world and has held a number of Senior Executive positions: he spent five years active duty as an Officer in the United States Navy, was a Fast Track executive with AT&T and a member of the Divestiture task force instrumental in the break up of AT&T. He was the CEO of a multipurpose Home Health Care company, a Pharmaceutical Executive responsible for $100 million dollars in revenue throughout a multi-state area and the Chief Operating Officer for the National Association for Home Care, located in Washington, D.C. He has also been a successful Commercial Real Estate salesman licensed in both Indiana and Michigan. For more than a decade he was an adjunct professor in Business and Economics at Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana, and at Indiana University at South Bend. He is also owner and President of Timm & Associates, Inc. a management consulting firm which he founded in 1987, a principal in Potomac Advisory a law and business consulting service targeting the recreational and premises activities industries (www.potomacadvisory.com), and owner of www.TheBestResume.com , a website dedicated to helping both employees and employees in the hiring process. He is a cum laude graduate with Biology departmental honors from Hiram College in Ohio, and earned an Executive MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He is a professional speaker, author of several published articles, and has submitted two books for publication. Bart lives in Washington, D.C. and has five children: Nathan, Rachel, Eva, Aaron, and Alexandria.
