Sheryl Phillips, MA, CSC, an executive coach and leadership consultant, has partnered with leaders for more than 20 years to create more effective organizations. She works at the individual, team and system level with core service areas of executive coaching, leadership development programs and leadership team development.
Prior to beginning her own practice in 2001, Sheryl spent over 10 years as a Senior Executive. She was most recently the Human Resources Director for Arlington County, Virginia, an urban municipality adjacent to Washington, D.C. As a long-time senior executive, Sheryl has a unique insider perspective on the challenges of leaders, particularly within large, complex settings.
Sheryl has her Master’s degree from the College of William and Mary and a Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University. She is a Certified Professional Coach by the Newfield Network, an internationally renowned coaching school; and a certified Somatic Coach by The Strozzi Institute. She has a certificate in Organizational Learning from George Mason University, is a qualified Myers-Briggs Administrator, and is certified in leadership assessment instruments from the Center for Creative Leadership, Lominger and The Leadership Circle. She is a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
Sheryl is a frequent national and regional speaker and the author of Executive Coaching—A Leadership and Organizational Development Method, offered by IPMA-HR.
