ADMITTED STUDENT WELCOME
The Georgetown University Center for Continuing and Professional Education is pleased that you will join us for the Executive Certificate in Financial Planning program.
We have created this Admitted Student Website to assist you in preparation for the program. You will find important documents relating to tuition payment, textbook ordering, classroom location, and scheduling. Please download each form and follow instructions carefully.
TUITION PAYMENT
Payment arrangements must be made during the registration process. Failure to make payment arrangements during the registration process will result in your automatic withdrawal.
Please click here for payment options.
TEXTBOOKS
The latest textbook list for the six courses can be found here: September 2009 co-hort January 2010 co-hort
Most texts can be purchased either through Kaplan Schweser, directly from the publisher, or through online book sellers. Textbook orders should be placed at least two weeks prior to the start of each course to ensure you receive the appropriate textbook and edition. Instructions for ordering textbooks are found in the textbook list.
Please note that during the nine-month time period, textbook editions and prices are subject to change. For this reason, order only those texts that correspond with the course you are currently taking (e.g. Fundamentals of Financial Planning and Insurance Planning).
SCHEDULE
Please download the class schedule and mark the dates on your calendar.

BLACKBOARD
Students must use a computer throughout the program. We at Georgetown University use Blackboard to upload the latest syllabi, exams, job postings, and other useful documents. CCPE does have a computer lab that can be used by students who do not have access to a computer.
FINANCIAL CALCULATOR
A financial calculator is required for this course. A list of calculators can be found here.
SYLLABI
The latest syllabi for each course are uploaded on Blackboard. We have included this syllabus as an example of what to expect in the first course, Fundamentals of Financial Planning and Insurance.
STUDENT GUIDELINES & RESOURCES & POLICIES
Please download and review the Certificate in Financial Planning Student Policies. Each student is required to sign a copy on the first meeting of class.
The Certificate in Financial Planning Student Guidelines can be found here. In addition, please review the Student Handbook.
