Jimmy Lynn, Visiting Assistant Professor for the MPS in Sports Industry Management program, presented "Reinventing Sports Media" at the Washington-area TEDxPennQuarter Conference, joining a variety of speakers invited "[to] share their unique stories and intriguing thoughts about reinvention."

In "A New Venue for Memorable Moments," Bobby Goldwater, Sports Industry Management adjunct faculty member and recipient of the 2008–2009 SIM Faculty Teaching Award, discusses his teaching experiences. "There can be no better feeling, no moment more memorable, than receiving the genuine gratitude from a young person when you've shared your time, your enthusiasm, your knowledge," notes Goldwater.
