National Security and Counter-intelligence
Back to Politics InstitutesThe 9/11 attacks have shaped U.S. foreign and national security policy like nothing else since Pearl Harbor. You will learn how policies enhance the security of Americans in the post-9/11 world; how the United States prevents foreign adversaries from gaining access to national security information; and how intelligence information is collected, analyzed, and disseminated. This course brings together unparalleled government and international relations resources from the Georgetown network to explore security and counterintelligence issues.

Hands-on Experience*
- Visit sites such as the Central Intelligence Agency, National Security Administration, and International Spy Museum
- Hear from guest lecturers who are key players in security fields
- Tour distinguished government institutions to meet with civilian, military and intelligence officers to get a firsthand view of duties and daily operations
- Participate in a panel discussion and fair that will allow you to explore various career opportunities in the national security area
- Complete a simulation project as the nation's top policymaker or security adviser with a challenge to develop a feasible response to a security crisis
