Be introduced to the changing media landscape right here in Washington, DC, a media artery complete with local, national and international newsrooms; thousands of correspondents; and world-renowned newspapers and TV and radio stations. Journalism is the record of the biggest events of our time. Learn to think and to work like a journalist. Improve your communication skills with your friends, family and potential future employers and professors.

  • Practice using broadcast camera packs
  • Learn state-of-the-art editing techniques

How to research a news story: Students will break into groups to explore online resources and utilize Lauinger Library to gather background for their news projects

Covering God: Attendance at a live taping of "The World Over Live" on EWTN in Washington, D.C., followed by a meeting with show host Raymond Arroyo
