Overview
You will learn to organize and express your ideas in a written format. Be exposed to various techniques of academic writing, proofreading strategies and basic research methods. Through critical thinking and analysis, you will learn how to draft creative and persuasive written responses to a variety of academic topics. You will leave the program as a more proficient, experienced and confident writer. The program ends with a final project.

Hands-on Experience*
- Practice a variety of written formats
- Engage in short writing exercises and peer analysis
- Design, support and compose more effective and persuasive written arguments
- Learn from Georgetown English professors
Monday, July 9 *
- 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
- Students can use this time to take a second class from Summer College and earn an additional three credits.
- 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Fundamentals of English: Expository Writing in-class writing assignment and Introduction to University Writing.
- Evening
- Students are encouraged to explore University resources in Lauinger Library and the Writing Center.
