The Advanced Professional Certificate (APC) consists of 15 credits (5 courses) to be chosen in consultation with your Associate Dean.  APC students are required to submit an official APC Tracking form to the Academic Affairs Office during their first semester of study.  A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (solid "B") is required of all students for good academic standing and to be eligible for the certificate. 

Develop a functional knowledge of finance, law, facilities management, and economics as you learn to employ analytical and planning tools to execute strategy that maximizes profitability and productivity.

Certificate Statistics & Information
Georgetown's APC in Sports Industry Management provides student-professionals with the opportunity to focus on specific areas of improvement within their industry. It prepares students to enter and/or advance in the field of General and Operations Manager, for example (SOC code 11-1021 and O*NET code 11-1021.00).

The APC is designed as a planned, cohesive group of five courses between the student and the program Associate Dean. While some programs have prescribed courses, others allow for more individualized proposals.  The APC is designed to take up to three years to complete and can be done in as little as three semesters.

Financing the SIM Certificate
Sports Industry Management Certificate students work with the Office of Student Financial Services for federal loan and FASFA opportunities.
