The Advanced Professional Certificate (APC) consists of 15 credits (5 courses) to be chosen in consultation with your Associate Dean.  APC students are required to submit an official APC Tracking form to the Academic Affairs Office during their first semester of study.  A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (solid "B") is required of all students for good academic standing and to be eligible for the certificate. 

Develop expertise in promoting the sports industry, teams, athletes and events, and in forming media relationships that facilitate the deliverance of news to interested parties. Leverage brands, databases, the Internet, market research, and technology to develop marketing strategy and long-term consumer relationships.

Certificate Statistics & Information
Georgetown's APC in Sports Industry Management provides student-professionals with the opportunity to focus on specific areas of improvement within their industry. It prepares students to enter and/or advance in the fields of Market Research Analyst/Specialist and Advertising and Promotions Manager, for example (SOC codes 13-1160, 11-2011 and O*NET codes 13-1161.00, 11-2011.00).

The APC is designed as a planned, cohesive group of five courses between the student and the program Associate Dean. While some programs have prescribed courses, others allow for more individualized proposals.  The APC is designed to take up to three years to complete and can be done in as little as three semesters.

Financing the SIM Certificate
Sports Industry Management Certificate students work with the Office of Student Financial Services for federal loan and FASFA opportunities.
