New Student Welcome
Welcome to the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies!
The School of Continuing Studies (SCS) invites you to the Summer 2013 New Student Welcome event for all new students starting their programs this spring. New Student Welcome will be held in Fisher Colloquium, which is located in the Rafik B. Hariri building on Georgetown University's main campus. New SCS students can look forward to talking with their program deans and staff, socializing with new students, and learning about the various resources available through the School of Continuing Studies and Georgetown University.

Students from the following programs will attend their Program Orientation on a separate date, time, and location from the all-school event (contact your program staff for more information):
- B.A. in Liberal Studies
- MPS in Journalism
- MPS in Public Relations & Corporate Communications
**NOTE: Doctor of Liberal Studies (DLS) students do not participate in New Student Welcome. New DLS students attend orientation in the spring and convocation in September.

International Students
International students in degree programs must attend the mandatory New Student Orientation session through the OIP. Information can be found at oip.georgetown.edu/isss/arrival.htm and please contact Anka Dadarlat for any questions (aid22@georgetown.edu).
International students in short-term programs(e.g. SWP) will be informed by their program on the date and time of the mandatory immigration session.
Veterans
Georgetown University Student Veterans of America (GUSVA) and the GU Veterans Office would like to welcome all incoming veterans and dependents to the Georgetown campus. We recognize that veterans may face many unique challenges compared to their peers, and we hope to be a resource for you.
