Course Description

This course builds on the themes from Course 2 in that it focuses on how systems and individuals manage and facilitate D & I change initiatives. Participants will engage in various activities related to diversity, equity and inclusion as a way to understand and recognize the roles of resistance and conflict in the D & I change process. The course will also explore ways in which stalled or flagging D & I initiatives might be infused with new energy and re-booted to produce fresh approaches to complex workplace issues.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, successful students will be able to:

  • Have a deeper understanding of their own role as a D & I change agent or catalyst when working with or within diverse systems
  • Understand the ways in which Change Management and Diversity & Inclusion theory intersect

  • Identify and manage resistance in D & I change Initiatives
