J. Stanley

Woody is an internationally recognized strategic management practitioner in the federal government.

J. Woody Stanley is currently the Strategic Management Team Leader, Federal Highway Administration at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Dr. Stanley received a Doctorate in Public Administration (DPA) from the University of Southern California in 2002. He also holds a MBA from the Duke University Fuqua School of Business, and a M.S. and B.A. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Prior to joining the federal government in 1995, he held positions in management consulting and private industry. He is an active member of the American Society for Public Administration. He has published journal articles in Administration and Society and the International Review of Public Administration; and contributed chapters to Democracy Online: The Prospects for Political Renewal and Developments in Strategic and Public Management: Studies in the U.S. and Europe.
