Cybersecurity sounds like a buzzword for the 21st century—and indeed it is. But the IT firm Telos has been leading the field since long before most people knew what cybersecurity was. In 1987, Telos helped the U.S. Army comply with the new Computer Security Act. Today it assists companies in safely transferring data to the cloud. “Privacy and security go hand in hand, “says Richard Tracy, Telos’s chief security officer. “Without security, there won’t be privacy.” Here, Tracy and Telos CEO John Wood talk with Frederic Lemieux, faculty director of Georgetown’s Master's in Applied Intelligence and Master's in Cybersecurity Risk Management programs, about Telos’s plans for the future and Georgetown’s new internship program with their cutting-edge firm.
