What made you decide to earn your Master’s in Real Estate at Georgetown University as opposed to another institution with a similar program?
I realized that the program was an exciting opportunity for one to receive specialized training in the discipline of Real Estate. With this being one of a handful of graduate programs, it was Georgetown’s reputation, faculty, and recognition that prompted me to enroll.
What makes the Real Estate program at Georgetown University unique?
The classes are very practical and designed in a way where you derive value from everything you learn. Prior to Georgetown, I was enrolled in another graduate Real Estate program and it just didn’t make the connection between theory and practical utility as well as Georgetown’s program.
How would you describe the faculty of the Real Estate program?
The faculty is the biggest strength of the Real Estate program. They are excellent as instructors and extremely experienced. I believe the faculty’s diversity with a multitude of experiences is the most unique thing about Georgetown’s Real Estate program. The faculty is highly specialized and their experience at both a national and global level makes the program so unique.
If you had to sell the Real Estate program to a prospective student, what would you say?
The admission process is relatively easy, the course material is solid, and there are a large number of concentrations to focus on. The coursework is informative, the faculty is insightful, and the degree is worthy of the time spent inside, as well as outside, of the classroom.
How has earning your Master’s in Real Estate from Georgetown University impacted your career?
Since earning my degree, I have been charged with exploring alternative investment opportunities at my company. I came away from the program drawing knowledge in more areas than I anticipated including financial modeling, real estate acquisitions, and sustainable development concepts.
