National Health IT Week: How Healthcare IT is Changing the Future of Medical Care

The Master's in Technology Management program invites you to join us for a panel discussion with some of the nation's most distinguished leaders in healthcare information technology.

Panelists include Todd Park, the United States Chief Technology Officer; Aneesh Chopra, the nation's first U.S. Chief Technology Officer, now with The Advisory Board Company as Senior Advisor, Health Care Technology Strategy and a candidate for lieutenant governor in Virginia; and Dr. Harry Greenspun, Senior Advisor, Healthcare Transformation and Technology at Deloitte. 

  • These national leaders will discuss how they look at healthcare informatics as a tool to reduce cost 
  • Discussion will detail the Blue Button Initiative, a leading example of using electronic medical records to assist patients 
  • U.S. CTO, Todd Park will expand on current White House breakthroughs like the Presidential Innovation Fellows, the role of Open Data, and the success of the recent “Datapalooza.”
  • This balanced panel includes a medical doctor and the first Federal Chief Technology Officer
