2014 Lavender Graduation

SCS will honor our LGBTQ community and allies at Lavender Graduation, taking place on Monday, April 28th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Fisher Colloquium in the Hariri Building. SCS is proud to sponsor this ceremony annually, and we invite faculty, staff, and guests to attend and support their graduating students. Further logistical information can be found below.

Keynote Speaker:
Susan Davis (SFS '78) is the President and CEO of BRAC USA, an organization that she co-founded to advance the global mission of BRAC, the world’s largest nonprofit. She is an author, speaker, and thought leader in international development and civil society innovation. In 2010, she co-authored the book Social Entrepreneurship: What Everyone Needs to Know. She has appeared on CNN and ABC News discussing global poverty and health issues, and her work on microfinance and entrepreneurship creation in developing countries has appeared in Innovations, Harvard Business Review, and other publications. She was a founding board member and past chair of the Grameen Foundation and currently serves on their Board Investment Committee. She is a senior advisor to New York University’s Reynolds Program on Social Entrepreneurship, is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and serves on several boards, including the United Nations Fund for International Partnership.

Susan received her bachelor's degree from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service in 1978. She went on to attend Harvard and Oxford Universities. She will be joined by President DeGioia and Dean Rankin.
