SIM Sample Class: Sports Event Planning & Facility Management (6/25)

Join us on Thursday, June 25 to sample a class from our master’s in Sports Industry Management and get an in-depth look at what the program has to offer.

Sit in on one of the program’s most popular courses, Sports Event Planning and Facility Management (MPSM-720), as Bobby Goldwater leads you through the elements and principles involved with the management and operation of sports events and venues.

Respected sports industry executive and SIM professor Bobby Goldwater's dynamic career has extended across the country, where he has held distinguished positions in New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. Currently serving as Interim Associate Dean of Georgetown's SIM program, his experience has included leading the effort to return Major League Baseball to the Nation’s Capital; serving as one of the key executives in the creation and launch of STAPLES Center in L.A.; and holding a number of executive positions over a 24-year tenure at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

  • Registration and conversations with current SIM students begin at 5:30 p.m.
  • Class runs from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in room C204
