Hoya Pitchmasters–Getting the Go-Ahead: Pitch Like a Pro

Sometimes you have weeks to prepare a formal presentation and sometimes you have five minutes to catch your boss between meetings. However, the principle is the same -- in order to get buy-in, you need to structure your approach in a way that convinces your stakeholder that your proposal is the best solution.

Join Tim Doyle, Account Director at Subject Matter, for an interactive session on how to use the skills PR pros use when pitching stories. Tim will draw on his experience at organizations such as Discovery Communications, and the Glover Park Groups, as well as the near decade as a reporter at outlets including Forbes and Bloomberg News, to work with attendees on how best to pitch their ideas to stakeholders and decision makers, securing buy-in and conveying confidence.

This event is open to Georgetown SCS students, alumni, and prospective students as well as any interested professionals.
