Did you know January and February are traditionally the most popular months for hiring? Ring in a new career for 2021 by focusing on the most impactful job search strategies! This session will cover quick tips on accomplishment based resumes, how to identify transferable experience, networking in a pandemic, and resources to identify who is hiring. You will receive an email with the Zoom link to access the event closer to the event date.

  • You will learn how to create an accomplishment based resume
  • You will learn how to tailor your application materials by identifying transferable skills
  • You will develop an understanding of virtual networking
  • You will discover resources to identify who is hiring

Presenter:

Lindsey Thomas is the Director of Integrated Career Development for Digital Skills Bootcamps at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies. In this role she provides individualized career coaching to help candidates identify and communicate their strengths and interests. She also conducts outreach to employers looking to hire talent from Georgetown University.

Lindsey holds a B.A in Sociology and an M. Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Previously she served in the Office of Career Development at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy. She has helped hundreds of students obtain meaningful careers, and assisted many employers in developing their talent pipeline at Georgetown. 

 

The Knowledge@Noon series is provided free of charge by the Professional Development and Certificate Program at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies.
