Emergency & Disaster Management Sample Class

We invite you to participate in an in-person sample class for the Master's in Emergency & Disaster Management program at the SCS Downtown campus. You’ll have the opportunity to get an inside look at the program by exploring an in-depth topic.

Class: The Impact of Climate Change on Natural Hazards
Instructor: Tim Frazier
Description: This class will challenge students to examine how emergency managers and others involved in disaster risk reduction can engage with adapting to and mitigating the consequences of climate change at the local, state, federal, and international levels.

Event Agenda:

  • Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m.
  • Class runs from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
  • Reception begins at 7:00 p.m.

Light hors d'oeuvres will be served after the event. This is an in-person-only event and will not have a virtual component.

Registration Policy: This event is only open to individuals interested in a Georgetown SCS program. Attendees will be asked to present a valid government-issued photo ID at the security desk.
