I am passionate about storytelling with data and bringing the rigor of behavioral science to the workplace.

Matthew Grossman

I design and deploy customized employee research programs that translate quantitative and qualitative data into strategic action. My work spans across the human capital space, including predictive and prescriptive analytics (e.g., quality of hire, employee retention, leadership potential, diversity and pay equity analysis), metric development and visualization (e.g., dashboard design, benchmarking, target setting), employee listening/life-cycle analysis (e.g., onboarding, engagement, pulse, exit surveys, etc.), and program evaluation.

I am currently the Global Workforce Analytics Lead for the Human Health Division (as well as a few other functions) of a large pharmaceutical company (supporting ~30K employees). Prior to that, I've spent 8 years consulting in the Human Capital Analytics space with enterprise clients.

Additionally, I am a co-author of the most recent Performance Appraisal chapter of the Handbook of Employee Selection, several industry/sector specific technical reports, and peer-reviewed journal articles. I've had many opportunities to present my work at conferences and have taught relevant college-level courses (including Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Psychometrics, and Statistics).

I received my A.B. (Honors) in Psychology from Vassar College, as well as a M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of South Florida.
