Chris Grosse

Chris is the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing at Georgetown University and oversees the marketing of the all intercollegiate athletic teams at the University.

During his time at Georgetown, Grosse has received national attention for his creative promotional campaigns, as well as several marketing awards from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA). His promotions have been featured by ESPN, USA Today, Newsweek, The Atlantic, The Today Show, and the Washington Post. Grosse has been at Georgetown since May of 2014, after spending five years at the United States Naval Academy Athletics Department as the associate director of marketing, promotions and corporate sales.

While at the Naval Academy, Grosse's responsibilities included the marketing and promotion of the men's and women's basketball and women's lacrosse teams, while assisting with football marketing operations as well. Grosse headed up the growth of Navy's social media platforms, solicited and maintained corporate partnerships, and led the student internship program.

It was his second stint at Navy after serving as an intern in the marketing and promotions department during the 2005-06 school year.

Prior to Navy, Grosse worked at New Mexico State University as an assistant director of marketing and promotions in charge of four sports.

Before New Mexico State, Grosse was a graduate assistant at Florida State University where he worked for two years (2006-08) while receiving his Masters in Sports Administration. While at Florida State, Grosse's sport responsibilities were women's basketball, soccer, volleyball and Olympic sports, while assisting with football and men's basketball.

Grosse graduated from the University of Connecticut in the spring of 2005 with a bachelors' degree in marketing. A native of Bedford, N.H., he and his wife Natalie reside in Arlington, Va., with their daughter Annabelle and son Benjamin.
