Carol L. Romett is an Associate Teaching Professor at Georgetown University's Center for Language Education and Development, Intensive Program in English as a Foreign Language. She teaches courses for international students and serves as a teacher trainer and consultant for program and curriculum development, in-service teacher education, student assessment (testing), and program evaluation for English language programs in the U.S. and overseas. She has also taught courses in foreign language teaching methodology at GU Department of Linguistics and other institutions.
Ms. Romett has more than twenty years of experience in international education, including teaching in university intensive English programs, in adult basic education for refugees, and in teacher and professional preparation programs in the U.S., Mexico, Japan, Korea, the Dominican Republic, the Philippines, and Lebanon. Her particular interests include curriculum development and teacher education in English for academic and professional preparation, particularly in business, sciences and technology.
