Erwin Hesse has over a decade of admissions and recruitment experience in higher education.
He is the Executive Director of Enrollment Management at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. He previously worked at the University of Maryland's Undergraduate Admissions office and the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School's admissions office. He is also the Cofounder of Admissions Gambit, a college admissions and essay editing company.
Dr. Hesse holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and criminology from the University of Maryland, a master’s in public administration from the University of Baltimore, and a doctorate in education from Johns Hopkins University. His dissertation focused on the professional development of college admission counselors in the state of Maryland with regards to multicultural counseling competencies when recruiting undocumented students. He has published and presented his research in academic journals and at major national conferences. He created and teaches a course titled, Enrollment Management: The Student Lifecycle, in Georgetown's Masters in Higher Education Administration program.

Guidance Related to COVID-19

SCS continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation and respond in support of the University community. Currently, all summer term courses will continue through distance instruction.
In terms of the Fall 2021 semester, the School of Continuing Studies will resume regular operations effective August 16 at the 640 Massachusetts Avenue building, unless otherwise noted for specific programs.
