Dr. Dolan brings a wealth of experience in academic program development and oversight, as well as in non-traditional learning environments.
Before he began his career in academia, he worked in private industry from 1989 to 2003 for major media companies, such as the Washington Post Company and Knight Ridder, as well as AT&T and BellSouth.
He joined his alma mater, Pennsylvania State University, in 2003, and served as an instructor and administrative leader for a variety of marketing, public relations, and media concentrations, as well as professional education programs for corporate audiences. He spent his last three years at Penn State as a senior administrator in the College of the Liberal Arts. He joined The George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs in 2013 as Director of Executive and Professional Education. At GW, he was responsible for the development, execution, and overall management of an executive education program with both open enrollment and customized professional education programs, bringing the unique expertise of the School’s faculty to audiences all over the world.
