Spring Program

  • Deadline: November 15
  • Start Date: January 4
  • End Date: May 3

Program Prerequisites

  • Applicants must have earned a post-secondary school degree
  • Applicants must have a TOEFL score of 80, or an IELTS score of 6.5 
  • Applicants with lower TOEFL or IELTS scores may apply, but they may be required to successfully complete a semester of study in the English Language Center before beginning the program

Application Checklist

The following items must be submitted:

  • Application Form: Submit a completed application using the application form
  • Nonrefundable Application Fee: $100* check payable to Georgetown University
  • Nonrefundable Advance Deposit: $200 check payable to Georgetown University, applied to tuition
  • Evidence of eligibility for the program:
    1. An official ETS TOEFL score or IELTS report
    2. Documents showing proof of completion of a post-secondary education
      • Please send translated English copies, not the originals
  • A copy of your passport
  • Evidence of financial support if requesting the Form I-20

Admissions to the Certificate in Legal English Pre-LLM Program does not constitute admission to any other Georgetown University program. Students should not anticipate admission to the University upon completion of the program.
