Elif Andaç-Jones

Dr. Elif Andac-Jones is a political sociologist with an expertise in state building processes, nationalism, ethnic and religious politics; research methods, particularly qualitative, mixed methods comparative historical research.

Elif Andaç-Jones

Dr. Andac-Jones received her PhD from University of Washington in 2007. She has been teaching at Georgetown University Department of Sociology since 2015. Prior to that, she taught at the University of Kansas, University of Washington and Bogazici University, her alma mater in Istanbul, Turkey. Her publications reflect her wide range of interests in research methods applications as well as expertise in social movements, political processes and institutional changes in Turkey. In addition to her teaching, she has done consulting work for a wide range of institutions such as the NIH, the World Bank, and various healthcare organizations. She speaks Turkish and French.
