How will education in your field will change over the next decade?
The field of emergency management will demand more technical knowledge of all types of hazards, along with a greater emphasis on critical thinking skills. Fostering and developing these two aspects will promote much more effective emergency management practices moving into the future.
What has been your most unique learning experience?
My most unique learning experience was during our first intensive in D.C., when Admiral [Thad] Allen came to speak to our class. In that moment, I knew that this program was going to change the course of my life.
