What is an interesting trend emerging in your field?
Although individual support of philanthropy is not a new trend, the direct application of individual donors funding specific young investigators’ research to provide them a “jump start” on obtaining preliminary data in their research and furthering their careers is becoming more pervasive and is very exciting.
What has been your most unique learning experience?
Georgetown University’s Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS) program has by far been my most unique learning experience. This program truly shows the value of being a well-rounded individual with opportunity to expand one’s knowledge across curriculums, benefiting not only individual growth to understand what it truly means to be human, but how this is applied to being an engaged citizen of society. I would recommend MALS to anyone seeking a degree for the love of learning. I am proud to have been a part of this unique program!
