Georgetown’s Master of Professional Studies in Sports Industry Management (SIM) equips students with the business management and leadership skills needed for a successful career in the global sports industry.
The program’s flexible, hands-on curriculum is immersed in a global perspective, emphasizing emerging industry trends, cutting-edge communications skills, and critical business strategies that prepare students to become forward-thinking leaders in the industry. Students gain valuable insights inside and outside the classroom as they build their skills, experience, and connections through valuable internships, travel abroad opportunities, and industry events.
- Foundational Knowledge. Students develop a comprehensive understanding of the global sports industry while mastering the essential communication, business, and leadership skills that are in high demand by employers.
- Leading Faculty. The program features a faculty of expert practitioners from leading organizations such as the Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals, Washington Wizards, Washington Capitals, Octagon, U.S. Olympic Committee, and the NFL Players Association.

The master’s in Sport Industry Management program is an institutional member of the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). The program has achieved Candidacy Status with an approved outcomes assessment plan in anticipation of seeking full COSMA accreditation.
